Bearbotics is a high-challenge high-achievement applied STEM & STEAM program that serves students in LPSD (D38). While the core focus of Bearbotics is engineering and technology, students can also get important experience in critical skills like leadership, communication, project and business management, teamwork and applied creativity, in a supportive environment with extensive access to local professionals for mentorship.

Bearbotics has further expanded its programs! Here's what's available to D38 students. If you're interested in any of these programs, please give us your contact info by clicking on the "Get on our Contact List" button (above) so we can keep you informed of key events.
FRC (team #4068): this is the original top-level program, for junior and senior high-school students across D38. This is a great program for students wanting to significantly grow their real-world STEM skills and knowledge before heading on to college or to high-value in-demand manufacturing jobs. The program kickoff and info session is on Thursday 9/7 at 7 PM, at the Grace Best campus (55 Adams St., Monument). Student applications will be reviewed by the coaches. The student joining fee is $175/each. Contact the coach for more info.
FTC (3 teams): this is our entry-level high-school program focused on freshman and sophomore students across D38. This program builds strong fundamental skills in applied engineering and technology plus teamwork, to prepare students for further advancement. The 2nd (and Final) Bearbotics FTC Info Session is on Wednesday 8/30 at 4:00 PM at Grace Best (55 Adams St., Monument), and the joining fee is $175 per student. The competitive season Kickoff is on 9/9 and you want to be ready for that! More info: refer to web page or contact the coach.
FLL Challenge (3 middle-school teams): this is our advanced FIRST(R) LEGO(R) League -- Challenge program, for students of D38 middle schools (including home schools). We're very proud to bring this back to D38 after a 3-year hiatus. The info meeting for this program happens Saturday 8/19 at 10 AM, in the cafeteria at Grace Best (enter through the double-doors at 55 Adams St, Monument). The teams begin meeting on Monday 8/21. The joining fee is $95 per student. Contact the coach for more info.
FLL Challenge (Cub-Botics, 3 teams): this is the FIRST(R) LEGO(R) League -- Challenge program for elementary-school students -- currently only 6th graders at Bear Creek Elementary. Contact Bearbotics for more info, and for inquiries about how FLL-Challenge robotics can be extended to your school.

Overall 55 students actively participate in Bearbotics programs (the most students ever)
We help start and mentor 2 new FLL Challenge teams. Both qualify for the State Championship.
All 3 FTC teams go to the State Championship and participate in the Playoffs
Overall we win 18 awards (the most ever), including 2 top personal awards ("Dean's List Finalist" and "Compass" [aka FTC Coach of the Year]) and 2 top engineering awards ("Industrial Design" and "Excellence in Engineering")
